Tips for Finding Accounts and Passwords on Your iPhone and iPad

If you own an iPhone then it is easy to find your accounts and passwords for websites and apps. Apple has already made improvements to accounts and password management in iOS. One of these improvements is the ability to access stored accounts and passwords when you are logging in on the web and in apps. When you use username and passwords in any apps or websites, iOS will display a key icon above the keyboard. You can have access to your stored accounts and passwords if you tap on this key. First, you need to launch the Settings app for iOS. You then need to scroll down and tap Passwords and accounts. Tap Website and App passwords next. With your touch ID or face ID, you can authenticate this request.

A searchable list of entries will be seen once you have gained access to your accounts and passwords. If you tap on an entry, it will bring up a username, a password, and the website that corresponds with your account. You can tap and hold on both the username and password entry to copy their contents.

If you want to add accounts and passwords to your iCloud keychain there is a special mechanism developed by iOS for this. When you start to create an account, Safari will suggest a password for you. You will actually see a plus sign to this button next. Then type in the website where you want to use your account in and find it. Type in the user name and password you will use to log in to your account. Then tap Done.
